PUTNAM COUNTY SPCA DOG CONTROL DIVISION

For Town of Putnam Valley Only

Although the Putnam County SPCA does not normally provide dog control services, we do currently contract with the Town of Putnam Valley to provide this service. This department ensures that dogs are contained on their owner’s property or on a leash.

The Dog Control Officer responds to calls for the following:

• Loose dogs
• Barking dogs
• Lost dogs
• Roaming, unattended dogs

The Dog Control Officer will also ensure that all dogs are licensed, vaccinated against rabies, and are wearing the mandatory tags.
